Last Monday, March 19, we received in our facilities the visit of a civil protection representative to teach a course on first aid.
The course was attended by 54 employees who were given basic knowledge and prevention on real cases that can occur in the workplace.
First, the priorities were discussed in an emergency situation. Followed by how to act in the case of a cardio-respiratory stop, how to do a CPR, and the importance of using the defibrillator to save the life of the affected and avoid possible serious consequences.
He also presented examples of how to act against possible hemorrhages produced in the field, due to cuts or sharp objects. As well as the different maneuvers, such as the “Heimlich” maneuver, to help in case of obstruction of the respiratory tract.
It is a basic training, so that employees know how to act in an emergency situation at work and in their daily lives.
